The Mists of Avalon Gazing Bowl

Approx. 11" x 10" x 3"

Many times pools of water were used for scrying and seeing visions, and also as a place to stop and find refreshment. "The Mists of Avalon," a book written by Marion Zimmer Bradley, was later made into a movie, and the magical gazing pool was a very important part of the story. This story tells of the legend of Arthur and Morgaine. The pool of water in this gazing bowl symbolizes the inner well of wisdom, a place within us where we can reflect and listen to our intuition and inner soul.

The design carved on the bowl is similar to the one at the Chalice Well in Glastonbury, England. Glastonbury is said to only be separated from the magic of Avalon by a thick mist. Fill the bowl with water and float flowers or candles, and add special rocks or crystals. This also makes a welcome water bowl for outdoor creatures or pets. 70., shipping will vary by location.
